After completion of the build-up phase, another machine of this type was put into operation after extensive modernization and optimization measures.
This machine type was already in use in the nineties and is characterized by its very robust construction. After many years of experience with the machines we use in this type, we are still convinced of their basic concept and reliability.

In order to make the machine even more efficient for the future, extensive modernization work was carried out during the construction phase, both in terms of hardware and software.

To be performed here are the use of the latest digital drives and position measuring systems, as well as the replacement of all ball screws.
So that the new drives also work reliably, we have decided in favor of the control system "TNC 640" from Heidenhain. This control will be used in all machines of this type in the future. In addition, thermally sensitive components were housed in air-conditioned control cabinets, resulting in a significant stabilization of the machine and computer units.
