After the modernisation of the first machine of this type and the thoroughly positive response of our customer, the 2nd complete conversion is complete, and the machine has been put into operation. The response after the first conversion and the level of quality it achieved (both in terms of precision as well as the flawless milling results) were so positive that the capacity demand has increased and led us to invest in modernisation. With this conversion as well, the majority of the hardware and software was replaced, and an air-conditioned zone was created again around the machine.

In addition to this, heat-sensitive components were installed in air-conditioned switching cabinets, which results in a significant stabilisation of the machine's running time. The newest digital drives and path measuring systems were used here, and the ball screws were also replaced. In order control these components, we decided on the TNC 530 HSCi control system from Heidenhain. Our goal is use these controls in all of the machines of this type in the future.
