Total conversion of our Vertamill 235 line complete. After an eight months conversion phase, another machine has been put into operation over the course of modernisation procedures. The scope of all conversion procedures on our Vertamill 235 line was significant and involved the complete drive, guide, and control technology. Because this is a 5-axis processing machine, a Heidenhein TNC530 controller was installed for this purpose.

The options for these controls are very extensive, and in order to use them, all of the guides were restored, all drives were converted to digital controls, and all ball screws were replaced. In order to mill "in the same language" as much as possible in the future, we decided to convert our machines gradually to controls from Heidenhein.
